Rewardful review: what its own pages say about price, payouts, tracking and the Affiliate Finder

By Jimi Barkway · Published 7 September 2026 · Part of the comparison pages

In brief

Rewardful is affiliate software for SaaS on Stripe or Paddle Classic. Starter is $49 to $7,500 a month of affiliate revenue, Growth $99 to $15,000, Enterprise from $149. Every plan has unlimited affiliates, the API and PayPal or Wise exports. A campaign is a program with its own commission rule, and Starter has one. The branded portal and custom domain start on Growth. Managed Payouts, where Rewardful pays the affiliates, costs a flat 3% per payout by request. The cookie is 60 days by default. Its Affiliate Finder crawls the web for affiliates, paid in credits.

What is Rewardful, and who is it for?

In shortRewardful is affiliate software for SaaS on Stripe or Paddle. It starts at $49 a month. Every affiliate gets a clean link on your own domain. It reads sales from Stripe. You pay affiliates from your own PayPal or Wise, or through its Managed Payouts route for a flat 3%. Its own FAQ says it supports "only Stripe or Paddle", and Paddle means Paddle Classic.

The research method was simple. This review is built from Rewardful's own pricing page, features page, developer centre and help centre. All were read on 6 and 7 September 2026. No third-party review scores, no user quotes. Each section says what the pages say and where a claim was not on them. AffiliateRail appears once in the body, at the end, as an alternative with its own trade-offs.

Six words first. A revenue band is the range of monthly affiliate revenue a plan covers before the next plan applies. A campaign on Rewardful is a program with its own commission rule. Managed Payouts is Rewardful's route where you fund one payment and Rewardful pays the affiliates. A webhook is a message Stripe sends to Rewardful when something happens, such as a paid invoice. Attribution is the job of deciding which affiliate gets credited for a sale. And last touch is the attribution rule that credits the last affiliate link a customer clicked. Those carry most of this review.

Managed Payouts has a flat 3% processing fee on each payout. There are no additional subscription costs for merchants.

What does Rewardful cost?

In short$49, $99, or from $149 a month, banded by how much your affiliates bring in. Starter covers up to $7,500 a month. Growth covers up to $15,000. Enterprise is above that, on a demo. Every plan has a 14-day trial and two months free on annual billing. There is no transaction fee on the plan itself.

The bands are the thing to plan around. Let's say your affiliates bring in $6,000 a month. You are on Starter at $49. At $8,000 you are on Growth at $99, because Starter stops at $7,500. At $18,000 you are on Enterprise, from $149. The page says "Book a Demo" rather than printing a figure above that. So the monthly price doubles at $7,500 and rises again at $15,000.

The FAQ is clear on three things a buyer asks. Trial: a "14-day free trial" on every plan. Refunds: "If you choose a monthly plan and decide Rewardful isn't for you, contact us within 30 days and we'll give you a refund". Contracts: "No, you can cancel from your dashboard at any time". The page does not say whether the trial takes a card. Its features page puts the range as "$49 to $149+ per month".

What is on each plan?

In shortStarter has the tracking, the integrations, the API and the payout exports. Growth adds the branded portal, a custom domain, unlimited campaigns and unlimited team members. Enterprise adds phone support and one-click PayPal payouts. The two rows most founders hit first are campaigns and the portal.

A campaign is where the commission rule lives. Rewardful's features page: "commission rules are set at the campaign level, allowing merchants to offer different commission structures". Starter has one campaign. So on Starter every affiliate is on the same rule. A higher rate for one group, or a different rule for a second product, means Growth. Growth also brings "Private invite-only campaigns", which is how you run a partner tier by invitation.

The branded portal is the other Growth row. Starter's list does not include it. On Growth the portal carries your brand and your domain. The pricing page lists "Custom domain" and "Branded affiliate portal" under Growth only. The team-member cap is the third: two on Starter, unlimited on Growth.

What every plan has is worth listing too. "Unlimited affiliates", "Unlimited visitors", "All integrations", "REST API access", "Multiple currencies", "Self-referral fraud detection", "First or last touch attribution", "Coupon code tracking" and "Double-sided incentives" are all on Starter. So the tracking side is not gated. The management side is.

How does Rewardful pay affiliates?

In shortTwo ways. You pay them yourself, from your own PayPal or Wise, using the mass-payout exports on every plan. Or you switch on Managed Payouts. You fund one payment to Rewardful, and Rewardful pays the affiliates for a flat 3% per payout. The second route needs an ACH-capable funding method and a request to support.

The help centre describes Managed Payouts in three lines. "Merchants fund a payout in Rewardful with a single payment. Rewardful distributes commissions to affiliates. Affiliates withdraw their earnings directly from their Rewardful dashboard." The price: "Managed Payouts has a flat 3% processing fee on each payout. There are no additional subscription costs for merchants." Affiliates "may incur withdrawal fees depending on their selected payout method".

Three details on that page matter before you switch it on. You need "a separate ACH-capable funding method", which is "distinct from the one used for customer subscription payments". Payments are not debited automatically: "Rewardful issues an invoice for the total commissions and fees, which you pay manually". And access is by asking: "In order to access managed payouts please contact support". A payout fee is a cut taken from the money on its way to the affiliate. On $2,500 of monthly payouts, 3% is $75.

The own-account route is on Starter. "PayPal mass payouts" and "Wise bulk payouts" are exports you upload to your own account. The export goes to your own account. Enterprise adds "One-click PayPal payouts". The pricing page does not mention tax forms on any plan. Its Managed Payouts page says affiliates "go through KYC as required". The custody page sets both routes beside every other vendor's.

How does the tracking work?

In shortA first-party cookie set by its tracking script, which you install as two scripts. A 60-day window by default. A link that is a clean parameter on your own domain, ?via=justin. It reads Stripe by webhook. It adjusts commissions on refunds and lifecycle changes. You choose first or last touch per campaign.

The pricing page on links: "Link to any page on your domain with a simple, clean URL parameter (?via=justin). No ugly redirects or 3rd party subdomains. Or use our direct page tracking which doesn't require affiliate links." On install: "Copy and paste 2 scripts or use our pre-built & native integrations for a one click integration." The FAQ puts the time at "about 15-20 minutes, on average".

The cookie: "By default Rewardful has a standard 60-day cookie retention policy (cookie window), but this value can be configured for each campaign." And it is first-party: "When someone follows an affiliate link to your website, our tracking script sets a first party cookie". A cookie window is how long after a click a sale still counts for the affiliate.

On Stripe, Rewardful reads webhooks, looks for a referral attribute in the customer metadata, and writes back. Its help centre lists what it writes: metadata and promo codes. It lists what it cannot do, from moving money to issuing refunds. Commission is "based on the amount actually paid by the customer", so coupons reduce it. The features page adds "Automated Refund Handling: Automatically adjust commissions for refunds and customer lifecycle changes." The Stripe integration page sets this beside twelve other tools.

Then the feature its FAQ sets apart from a marketplace. "Rewardful has a built-in Affiliate Finder search engine that tries to surface proven affiliates around the web based on queries you run." It uses credits to reveal a contact. The FAQ draws a line: "the Affiliate Finder is very unique in that it crawls the web to find relevant affiliates based on your query. Marketplaces are a passive approach". The features page also lists a new Assets Library, to "Give affiliates logos, links, and ready-to-use copy".

What should you check before you buy?

In shortFour things. Whether you bill through Stripe or Paddle Classic, because nothing else connects. Whether one campaign is enough, because a second rule means Growth. Which payout route you want, because the managed one costs 3% and needs a request. And how fast your affiliate revenue will pass $7,500, because that is where the price doubles.

The billing system first. The FAQ: "I don't use Stripe or Paddle. Can I still use Rewardful? Not at this time. We currently support only Stripe or Paddle." And the Paddle article: "At present, Rewardful supports integration only with Paddle Classic, not Paddle Billing." So a merchant on the current Paddle product cannot connect. Chargebee, Recurly and Lemon Squeezy are not on its pages.

The API is on Starter. It uses HTTP Basic with your API secret and allows "45 requests per 30 second window". It covers campaigns, affiliates, links, coupons, referrals, commissions and payouts, with signed webhooks. The developer centre's own line: "Your API Secret grants full access to your Rewardful account." The API comparison has it beside ten others.

For example, imagine a Stripe SaaS with one product and one rate. A dozen affiliates, paid through your own PayPal. Starter covers all of it at $49 until $7,500 a month. Now imagine two products at two rates, a partner tier by invitation, and a branded portal on your domain. That is Growth at $99. Now imagine you would rather never touch the payouts. That is Managed Payouts at 3%, on any plan, by asking.

Who should pick Rewardful, and who should look elsewhere?

In shortPick it if you bill through Stripe and want a clean link on your own domain. Pick it for the Affiliate Finder, or for a managed payout route you can switch on without changing plan. Look elsewhere if you bill through Paddle Billing, Chargebee or Recurly. Look elsewhere if you need several commission rules on the entry plan, or sell through a shop as well.

The side-by-side pages go further. Rewardful vs FirstPromoter is the closest match on price. Tolt vs Rewardful covers the band where Tolt is cheaper. Rewardful vs Tapfiliate covers the shop case. And the alternatives round-up lists every tool this site has priced beside it.

An alternative, with its own trade-offs. AffiliateRail is $29 a month founding to $10,000 a month from affiliates, then $59 to $20,000. It has unlimited affiliates and a branded portal on every plan. It pays affiliates from your own PayPal or Wise on a schedule, at 0% of the payout, from the $59 plan. It reads Stripe and Paddle Billing, not Paddle Classic. It has no affiliate finder. Its script reads the via parameter, so links published on Rewardful keep converting after a move. The comparison page sets the two side by side, and the switch guide covers the export.

An alternative: Stripe or Paddle, from $29, 0% of every payout

Unlimited affiliates and a branded portal on day one, payouts on a schedule from your own PayPal or Wise, and a script that reads Rewardful's via parameter. Fourteen days, no card.

Common questions

How much does Rewardful cost?

$49 a month on Starter, up to $7,500 a month from affiliates. $99 on Growth, up to $15,000. Enterprise from $149 above that, on a demo. Every plan has a 14-day free trial and two months free on annual billing. Monthly plans can be refunded within 30 days by contacting Rewardful. The plan carries no transaction fee; Managed Payouts, if you use it, costs 3% per payout.

Does Rewardful work with Paddle?

With Paddle Classic. Its help centre says: At present, Rewardful supports integration only with Paddle Classic, not Paddle Billing. Its FAQ says it supports only Stripe or Paddle. So a merchant on the current Paddle product, or on Chargebee, Recurly or Lemon Squeezy, cannot connect it.

How does Rewardful pay affiliates?

Two ways. On every plan you export PayPal mass payouts or Wise bulk payouts and pay from your own account. Or you ask support for Managed Payouts: you fund one payment through an ACH-capable method, Rewardful invoices you, and Rewardful pays the affiliates for a flat 3% per payout. Affiliates withdraw from their Rewardful dashboard and may pay withdrawal fees. Enterprise adds one-click PayPal payouts.

What is the Rewardful Affiliate Finder?

A built-in search engine that, in Rewardful's words, tries to surface proven affiliates around the web based on queries you run. It crawls the web rather than drawing on a marketplace, and a credit is used when you reveal a specific affiliate's details.
