A built-in importer reads your Tapfiliate account through their API and brings over your affiliates, customers and conversions, commissions included. Your affiliates' links keep converting, because our tracker reads Tapfiliate's ref parameter as well as our own. Plan an afternoon. Or hand it to us and we run the whole migration with you.
01 Stage 1
Tapfiliate links carry the referral code in ref by default, and their script also reads tap_s (their help centre, checked 2 September 2026). Our tracker reads both, along with the generic aff and via. An old link lands on your site, and the referral goes to the same affiliate. Nobody edits a link.
02 Stage 2
Tapfiliate has a documented REST API. The importer signs in with the API key from your account settings (their API docs, checked 2 September 2026) and pulls:

Add our script beside Tapfiliate's. Both trackers run, and ours reads their links, so nothing is lost while both are on. Watch a few referrals land and compare the two dashboards.
Tapfiliate's default cookie lasts 45 days (their help centre, checked 2 September 2026). A visitor referred last month still carries it. A month of overlap lets those referrals convert on the old side before you close it.
04 Stage 4
On Tapfiliate you settle balances, download a CSV payout file, and upload it to PayPal Mass Payments from a PayPal Business account (their help centre). On the Scale plan you can automate that through a Trolley account you open and fund yourself (source; both checked 2 September 2026). Tapfiliate holds none of the money.
AffiliateRail keeps that principle and removes the file. From the $59 Grow plan, payouts run through your own PayPal or Wise account on a schedule, at 0%. They never pass through us.
Step by step
Most merchants do this in an afternoon. If you would rather hand it over, we run migrations white-glove: a screen-share and an hour, and we do the rest. Email support@affiliaterail.com.
Connect Stripe. The connection is read-only: we read subscription events to credit sales, and we cannot write to your Stripe account.
With your API key, and your program id if you want pending affiliates kept pending. Check the counts against your Tapfiliate dashboard.
Tapfiliate keeps paid-or-not on the payment, not the commission, so paid history imports as approved. Select those commissions and mark them paid, and the payout engine never batches them.
Old links credit from this moment. Your affiliates' email, links and balance are already there when they arrive.
Remove the Tapfiliate script once you have watched a few referrals land on our side.
Said plainly
A migration page that lists only the good news is an advert. These do not come across.
Your affiliates set a new password from their invite to the new portal. Their identity, links and balance are waiting for them. Their old login is not.
We import people and money, not click-by-click traffic records. Click counting starts fresh on our side.
A visitor referred last week carries Tapfiliate's attribution, not ours. The moment they click any affiliate link again, we credit them. No vendor can transfer another vendor's cookies.
Tapfiliate records payment on the payout, not the commission, so the importer cannot tell paid from unpaid. Step 3 above is the fix, and it takes a minute.
Tapfiliate supports MLM structures. AffiliateRail has no sub-affiliate tiers, on purpose, so every affiliate imports at one level.
Cost
Tapfiliate is not metered on revenue. Plans are limited by clicks and conversions, so a revenue-by-revenue table would invent a number. Checked against Tapfiliate's pricing page on 2 September 2026. Launch is $89 a month with 50 affiliates, 5,000 clicks and 500 conversions. Scale is $179 with unlimited affiliates, 100,000 clicks and 10,000 conversions, and includes Trolley payouts. Enterprise is custom.

Tapfiliate's portal languages are English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Japanese, per the same help article as the cookie window. The Trolley article lists Trolley's own subscription at $49 a month for payments. Run the totals at your own volume.
