Switching
The importer connects to your Refgrow account and brings over your affiliates, the customers they referred, and every conversion with its commission. A refunded conversion arrives refunded and pays nobody. Published links keep paying, because our script reads the ref tag Refgrow uses. The money barely changes. You paid from your own PayPal or Wise on Refgrow, and you still will, on a schedule. Plan an afternoon. Or hand it to us.
No card. Or ask us to move it for you, inside two working days.
01 Stage 1
Refgrow's script reads ref first, then falls back to via, fpr and aff (their installation docs, checked 6 September 2026; their script read 8 September 2026). We read all four, and twenty-three other tags. A link a partner posted two years ago pays the same person.
One thing to know. The first name comes from your Refgrow settings, so tell us if your program renamed it.
02 Stage 2
Refgrow has an API and the importer uses it. Paste a Refgrow API key from your program settings, and it pulls:
Refunds come across as refunds. Refgrow marks a refunded conversion by changing its type and leaves the commission on the row, so a naive import would pay a partner for a sale that was given back. Ours reads the type and voids it (their API reference, checked 9 September 2026). If you renamed ref in Refgrow, type the new name on the same screen and your affiliates' links carry on working.
03 Stage 3
Run both for a month. Compare sales, not clicks. The two scripts will never agree on clicks, and that gap is not a fault.
If Refgrow's automatic payouts are on, an affiliate can still request a payout from the old portal during the month. Turn automatic mode off at the start so nothing is paid twice. Close the old account once one full payout run has finished on the new side.
04 Stage 4
This part changes least of any switch guide on the site.
On Refgrow you paid from your own PayPal or Wise. By hand, approving each request, or automatically the moment an affiliate asked, once Refgrow had verified your credentials. No fee, because Refgrow never held the money.
On AffiliateRail you connect your own PayPal or Wise. AffiliateRail logs in on your schedule and pays from there. Same custody, same 0%. The difference is timing: we pay when a payout is due, not when someone asks. Your partners enter their payout details again, because they are now on a new portal.
In their words
Refgrow instantly processes the payment through your configured provider. PayPal is used first if configured, otherwise Wise.
The same custody model as ours. The payment runs through your own PayPal or Wise, so there is no fee to print.
Step by step
Three words first, because the steps use them. A dry run is a practice import that writes nothing. It tells you what it would have created. A referral token is the bit inside an affiliate link that names the partner. Keeping each partner's old one is why published links carry on working. Attribution is the job of deciding which partner gets credited for a sale. Most merchants do this in an afternoon. If you would rather hand it over, we run migrations white-glove. A screen-share and an hour, and we do the rest. We finish inside two working days of getting your details. Email support@affiliaterail.com.
Connect Stripe or Paddle. The link is read-only. We read billing events to credit sales. We cannot write to your account.
Paste an API key from your program settings, then the API tab. It pulls affiliates, referred customers and conversions.
Check the counts against your Refgrow dashboard. Nothing is written until you say so.
From now on every old Refgrow link pays its partner, because our script reads ref. Nobody edits a link.
Turn off Refgrow's automatic payouts. Send the email. Run both for a month. Watch one payout run finish on the new side before you close Refgrow.
14 days free, no card. Old links keep crediting from the day the script goes on.
Said plainly
A migration page that lists only the good news is an advert. These do not come across.
Your affiliates set a new one from their invite. Their identity, links and balance are waiting. Their old login is not.
AffiliateRail reads Stripe and Paddle. A program billed through one of the other three cannot connect its billing here.
If affiliates saw their earnings inside your product through Refgrow's widget, that ends. They get a branded portal on your own domain instead.
Refgrow's recruiter is theirs. Affiliates you found with it stay yours. The tool does not come with you, and AffiliateRail has no equal.
People and money move. Click-by-click traffic does not. Click counting starts fresh.
Bank details live in the portal, and the portal is new. Collect fresh W-9 and W-8BEN forms too. It is a new record, even though the payer is still you.
Cost
Refgrow charges by programs and seats, so its column does not move with revenue. Ours does. This table assumes one program, which keeps Refgrow on Starter. Three programs is $49, ten is $99. Neither tool takes a cut of payouts. Checked against Refgrow's pricing page on 6 September 2026.
| Monthly revenue from affiliates | Refgrow, one program | AffiliateRail founding | AffiliateRail list |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $29 (Starter) | $29 (Launch) | $59 |
| $10,000 | $29 (Starter) | $29 (Launch) | $59 |
| $20,000 | $29 (Starter) | $59 (Grow) | $89 |
| $40,000 | $29 (Starter) | $99 (Scale) | $179 |
Read that table honestly. For one program, Refgrow is cheaper than our list price at every volume and level with our founding price to $10,000 a month. Neither tool takes a cut of payouts. The reason to move is not this table. It is two programs and three seats at $29, payouts that run on a schedule, and a portal on your own domain in thirteen languages.
Questions
Yes. Refgrow links carry a ref tag, and their script also falls back to via, fpr and aff. We read all four, and twenty-three other tags. Those links pay the same partner from the day our script goes on. Nothing to re-publish.
You do not have to export anything. The importer reads your Refgrow account directly with an API key, and does a practice run first so you can check the counts against their dashboard. If you want your own copy as well, ask their support before you close the account. Their terms keep your data for 30 days after that.
If you run one program on Stripe and are happy paying affiliates when they ask, Refgrow's $29 is a fair price and this page says so. Move when you want a second program at the same price, three seats, or payouts that run themselves on a date.
Two things. Set a password from their invite. Enter their payout details in the new portal. Their links, customers and balance are already there. One email covers it.
