Moving from Partnero to AffiliateRail

No Partnero importer exists yet, so this move runs on CSV: Partnero exports partners, customers and transactions, and AffiliateRail's importer loads them with a dry run first. Standard Partnero links keep converting, because our tracker reads the aff parameter Partnero uses by default. Both platforms pay from your own PayPal or Wise account at no fee, so payouts change less here than on any other switch. Plan an afternoon. Or hand it to us.

01 Stage 1

Your existing affiliate links keep working

Partnero's standard link carries ?aff=token. Their help centre says the default parameter is aff (tracking settings and direct links explained, checked 3 September 2026). Our tracker reads aff, along with ref and via. An old link lands on your site and the referral goes to the same affiliate.

Two exceptions. A program that renamed the parameter re-issues its links; tell us and we do it. Direct links, with no token in the URL, depend on Partnero's script and are re-issued too.

02 Stage 2

What comes over, and how

There is no Partnero importer yet, so the move runs on CSV. Partnero exports customers and transactions with the partner's key and email (their help centre, checked 3 September 2026), and the partner list with its status and registration fields (their updates page). The importer takes three files:

  • Partners: email required. The partner key goes in the referral token column, so old links keep working.
  • Customers: one per referred customer, with their partner.
  • Transactions: one per payment, with the amount and date.

03 Stage 3

Run both for a month

Add our script beside Partnero's. Both trackers run, and ours reads their standard links, so nothing is lost while both are on. Watch a few referrals land and compare the two dashboards.

Partnero's cookie window is set per program, from preset options or a custom number, and no default is printed (their help centre, checked 3 September 2026). Check yours. A month of overlap lets referrals inside that window convert on the old side before you close it.

04 Stage 4

How do payouts change after the switch?

On Partnero you connect your own PayPal account or your own Wise Business account, and payouts run on a schedule with no Partnero fee (their pricing page, PayPal, Wise, checked 3 September 2026). Their managed route charges a card you provide and adds 7%. It is PayPal only and optional.

AffiliateRail is the same model. From the $59 Grow plan, payouts run through your own PayPal or Wise account on a schedule, at 0%. Reconnect the same accounts and carry on.

Step by step

The switch, step by step

Most merchants do this in an afternoon. If you would rather hand it over, we run migrations white-glove: a screen-share and an hour, and we do the rest. Email support@affiliaterail.com.

  1. Create your program

    Connect Stripe or Paddle. The connection is read-only: we read billing events to credit sales, and we cannot write to your account.

  2. Export from Partnero

    Partners, customers and transactions, each to CSV. Put each partner's key in the referral token column.

  3. Run the CSV import

    Map the columns, read the dry run, then run it. Check the counts against your Partnero dashboard.

  4. Add the script and invite

    Standard links credit from this moment. Your affiliates' email, links and balance are already there when they arrive.

  5. Reconnect PayPal or Wise, then close

    The same accounts you used on Partnero. Remove the Partnero script once you have watched a few referrals land on our side.

What does not carry over

A migration page that lists only the good news is an advert. These do not come across.

  • Portal passwords

    Your affiliates set a new password from their invite to the new portal. Their identity, links and balance are waiting for them. Their old login is not.

  • Visits and click logs

    We import people and money, not Partnero's visit records. Click counting starts fresh on our side.

  • Cookies already set on visitors' devices

    A visitor referred last week carries Partnero's attribution, not ours. The moment they click any affiliate link again, we credit them. No vendor can transfer another vendor's cookies.

  • Renamed parameters and direct links

    Our tracker reads Partnero's default aff. A program that renamed it, or that uses direct links depending on Partnero's script, re-issues those links from the new portal.

  • Refer-a-friend and newsletter programs

    Partnero runs those alongside affiliate programs. AffiliateRail runs affiliate programs. If you run the other types, they stay on Partnero or move elsewhere.

Cost

What the same program costs on each

Partnero is flat and AffiliateRail is banded, so the table runs by revenue. Checked against Partnero's pricing page on 3 September 2026. Starter is $59 a month, or $49 billed yearly, with one program, one seat and no ceiling on revenue, partners or transactions. Partner is $199, or $159 yearly, with three programs and three seats. Extra seats are $29 a month each.

Above $20,000 a month Partnero's flat $59 is the cheaper plan, and this page says so. Neither side takes a fee on payouts from your own account. Partnero's optional managed route is the exception at 7%. Run the totals at your own volume.

Common questions

Will my affiliates' Partnero links keep working?

Standard links, yes. Partnero's default parameter is aff, and our tracker reads it, along with ref and via. Links from a program that renamed the parameter, and direct links that need Partnero's script, are re-issued from the new portal.

Is there a Partnero importer?

Not yet. The importer reads Rewardful, FirstPromoter, Tapfiliate, Tolt and Affonso directly, and takes a CSV from anything else. Partnero's exports carry the partner key and email on every row, which is what the CSV importer needs. We build a direct importer when a customer asks for one.

How do payouts change after leaving Partnero?

Less than on any other switch here. Both platforms pay from your own PayPal or Wise account with nothing taken. Reconnect the same accounts on AffiliateRail's $59 plan and the schedule carries on. If you used Partnero's managed route, the 7% goes away.

How long does the switch take?
