01 Stage 1

Your links to your own site keep working

Partnero's standard link carries ?aff=token, their default (tracking settings, checked 3 September 2026). Our tracker reads aff, along with ref and via. An old link lands on your site and pays the same affiliate.

Three exceptions. A program that renamed the tag re-issues its links; tell us and we do it. Direct links, with no token in the URL, need Partnero's script. And short links on go.partnero.com redirect through Partnero, so they die with the account. Re-issue those first.

02 Stage 2

What comes over, and how

Partnero has an API and the importer uses it. Paste a Partnero API key, and it pulls:

  • Partners, with every link they published. The parameter is read off those links, so a program that renamed aff needs no answer from you.
  • Customers, with the partner who referred them. Renewals keep crediting the right person.
  • Transactions and their rewards, joined together. Balances and history do not restart at zero.

One thing their API does not publish, so the importer errs the safe way. It never says whether a single reward was paid, only a total per partner, so a partner Partnero has already paid something arrives settled rather than payable. Paying twice takes real money back out of your account. A balance marked settled by mistake is visible to the partner and fixed by hand.

03 Stage 3

Run both for a month

Add our script beside Partnero's. Both trackers run, and ours reads their standard links, so nothing is lost while both are on. Watch a few referrals land and compare the two dashboards.

Partnero's cookie window is set per program, from preset options or a custom number, and no default is printed (their help centre, checked 3 September 2026). Check yours. A month of overlap lets referrals inside that window convert on the old side before you close it.

04 Stage 4

How do payouts change after the switch?

On Partnero you connect your own PayPal account or your own Wise Business account, and payouts run on a schedule with no Partnero fee (their pricing page, PayPal, Wise, checked 3 September 2026). Their managed route charges a card you provide and adds 7%. It is PayPal only and optional.

AffiliateRail is the same model. From the $59 Grow plan, payouts run through your own PayPal or Wise account on a schedule, at 0%. Reconnect the same accounts and carry on.

Step by step

The switch, step by step

Three words first, because the steps use them. A dry run is a practice import that writes nothing. It tells you what it would have created. A referral token is the bit inside an affiliate link that names the partner. Keeping each partner's old one is why published links carry on working. Attribution is the job of deciding which partner gets credited for a sale. Most merchants do this in an afternoon. If you would rather hand it over, we run migrations white-glove.   1. Create your program

    Connect Stripe or Paddle. The connection is read-only: we read billing events to credit sales, and we cannot write to your account.

  2. Run the Partnero import

    Paste a Partnero API key. It pulls partners, customers and transactions.

  3. Read the dry run, then run it

    Check the counts against your Partnero dashboard. Nothing is written until you say so.

  4. Add the script and invite

    Standard links credit from this moment. Your affiliates' email, links and balance are already there when they arrive.

  5. Reconnect PayPal or Wise, then close

    The same accounts you used on Partnero. Remove the Partnero script once you have watched a few referrals land on our side.

What does not carry over

A migration page that lists only the good news is an advert. These do not come across.

  • Short links on go.partnero.com

    A go.partnero.com link is a redirect through Partnero, so it dies with the account. Links pointing at your own site are fine. Re-issue the short ones from the new portal before you close.

  • Portal passwords

    Your affiliates set a new password from their invite to the new portal. Their identity, links and balance are waiting for them. Their old login is not.

  • Visits and click logs

    We import people and money, not Partnero's visit records. Click counting starts fresh on our side.

  • Cookies already set on visitors' devices

    A visitor referred last week carries Partnero's attribution, not ours. The moment they click any affiliate link again, we credit them. No vendor can transfer another vendor's cookies.

  • Renamed parameters and direct links

    Our tracker reads Partnero's default aff. A program that renamed it, or that uses direct links depending on Partnero's script, re-issues those links from the new portal.

  • Refer-a-friend and newsletter programs

    Partnero runs those alongside affiliate programs. AffiliateRail runs affiliate programs. If you run the other types, they stay on Partnero or move elsewhere.

Cost

What the same program costs on each

Partnero is flat and AffiliateRail is banded, so the table runs by revenue. Checked against Partnero's pricing page on 3 September 2026. Starter is $59 a month, or $49 billed yearly, with one program, one seat and no ceiling on revenue, partners or transactions. Partner is $199, or $159 yearly, with three programs and three seats. Extra seats are $29 a month each.

Above $20,000 a month Partnero's flat $59 is the cheaper plan, and this page says so. Neither side takes a fee on payouts from your own account. Partnero's optional managed route is the exception at 7%. Run the totals at your own volume.

Will my affiliates' Partnero links keep working?

Your links to your own site will. Partnero's default tag is aff, and our tracker reads it, along with ref and via. Three kinds get re-issued: links from a program that renamed the tag, direct links that need Partnero's own script, and short links on go.partnero.com, which stop when the account closes.

Is there a Partnero importer?

Yes. It reads your Partnero account directly with an API key: partners with the links they published, customers with the partner who referred them, and transactions with their rewards. A dry run first, and one click to roll the whole thing back.

How do payouts change after leaving Partnero?
