Moving from LeadDyno to AffiliateRail

There is no LeadDyno importer yet, so this runs on CSV. LeadDyno exports eighteen months of history on every plan, and all of it on Unlimited. The importer does a practice run first. Published links keep paying, because our script reads the afmc tag LeadDyno uses. The money barely changes. You paid from your own PayPal on LeadDyno, and you still will, on a schedule, from PayPal or Wise. What changes is the plan: unlimited affiliates on every one. Plan an afternoon. Or hand it to us.

01 Stage 1

Your existing affiliate links keep working

LeadDyno's standard link looks like example.com/?afmc=399. Their help centre says "the ?afmc= is the base of the LeadDyno tracking and cannot be removed or edited" (their affiliate links article, checked 6 September 2026). Our script reads afmc too, plus eighteen other platforms' tags. So a link a partner posted two years ago pays the same person from the day our script goes on.

One exception. LeadDyno offers a link shortener that redirects through their service. Those short links stop when the account closes. Re-issue those from the new portal first.

02 Stage 2

What comes over, and how

There is no LeadDyno importer yet, so the move runs on CSV. LeadDyno's pricing page lists eighteen months of historic data exporting on Lite, Essential and Advanced, and unlimited on the Unlimited plan (their pricing page, checked 6 September 2026). Export affiliates, leads, customers and commissions. The importer takes three files:

  • Partners: email required. Put each partner's LeadDyno affiliate code, the bit after afmc=, in the referral token column. That is what keeps old links working.
  • Customers: one per referred customer, with their partner.
  • Transactions: one per payment, with the amount and date.
A practice run first, every time. Run it again and records are matched, not duplicated. One click rolls it back.

03 Stage 3

Run both for a month

Run both for a month. Compare sales, not clicks. The two scripts will never agree on clicks, and that gap is not a fault.

LeadDyno keeps charging while you overlap, so time the close for the end of a billing month. Close the old account once one full payout run has finished on the new side.

04 Stage 4

How do payouts change after the switch?

This part changes least of any switch guide on the site.

On LeadDyno you paid from your own PayPal. One affiliate at a time after logging in, or a batch through PayPal Payouts with your own business account connected, or a CSV you sent yourself. No fee, because LeadDyno never held the money.

On AffiliateRail you connect your own PayPal or Wise. AffiliateRail logs in on your schedule and pays from there. Same custody, same 0%, and nobody selects a batch. Your partners enter their payout details again, because they are now on a new portal.

You paid from your own account before, and you still do. The change is the schedule. The custody page has both models side by side.

Step by step

The switch, step by step

Three words first, because the steps use them. A dry run is a practice import that writes nothing. It tells you what it would have created. A referral token is the bit inside an affiliate link that names the partner. Keeping each partner's old one is why published links carry on working. Attribution is the job of deciding which partner gets credited for a sale. Most merchants do this in an afternoon. If you would rather hand it over, we run migrations white-glove. A screen-share and an hour, and we do the rest. We finish inside two working days of getting your details. Email support@affiliaterail.com.

  1. Create your program

    Connect Stripe or Paddle. The link is read-only. We read billing events to credit sales. We cannot write to your account.

  2. Export from LeadDyno

    Affiliates, customers and commissions, eighteen months of it on most plans. Keep each affiliate's afmc code. It is what keeps their old links paying.

  3. Practice-run the import

    Map the columns. Read the counts. Check them against your LeadDyno dashboard. Only run it for real when they match.

  4. Install the script

    From now on every old LeadDyno link pays its partner, because our script reads afmc. Nobody edits a link.

  5. Invite partners, then overlap

    Send the email. Run both for a month. Watch one payout run finish on the new side before you close LeadDyno.

What does not carry over

A migration page that lists only the good news is an advert. These do not come across.

  • Portal passwords

    Your affiliates set a new one from their invite. Their identity, links and balance are waiting. Their old login is not.

  • LeadDyno short links

    Those redirect through LeadDyno and stop when the account closes. Links to your own site with afmc keep working.

  • Two-tier commissions

    If affiliates earned on the affiliates they recruited, that ends. AffiliateRail pays one tier.

  • History older than your export

    LeadDyno exports eighteen months on most plans. Anything older does not come across unless you are on Unlimited.

  • Raw click logs

    People and money move. Click-by-click traffic does not. Click counting starts fresh.

  • Payout details and tax forms

    Bank details live in the portal, and the portal is new. Collect fresh W-9 and W-8BEN forms too. It is a new record, even though the payer is still you.

Cost

What the same program costs on each

LeadDyno charges by active affiliates, so its column does not move with revenue. Ours does. This table assumes fifty or fewer active affiliates, which keeps LeadDyno on Lite. Past fifty, LeadDyno is $129, then $349. Checked against LeadDyno's pricing page on 6 September 2026.

Read that table honestly. With fifty affiliates or fewer, LeadDyno is cheaper than our list price at every volume, and cheaper than our founding price from $20,000 a month. Neither tool takes a cut of payouts. The reason to move is not this table. It is unlimited affiliates on every plan, three team members from $29, and a payout that runs on a schedule instead of a batch you send.

Will my affiliates' LeadDyno links keep working?

Links to your own site will. LeadDyno links carry an afmc tag. Our script reads afmc too, plus eighteen other platforms' tags. Those links pay the same partner from the day the script goes on. LeadDyno's optional short links redirect through LeadDyno and stop when the account closes, so re-issue those first.

What changes about payouts?

Less than on any other switch. You paid from your own PayPal on LeadDyno and you still do, from PayPal or Wise. The difference is the schedule. AffiliateRail runs the payout when it is due. On LeadDyno you selected the commissions and sent the batch.

Should I move at all?

If you have fifty affiliates or fewer and no wish for scheduled payouts, LeadDyno's $49 is a fair price and this page says so. Move when the affiliate count is about to cross a band, or when you want more than one seat, or when paying affiliates has become a chore you put off.

Do affiliates have to do anything?

Two things. Set a password from their invite. Enter their payout details in the new portal. Their links, customers and balance are already there. One email covers it.
