Pay affiliates by Payoneer batch file

Payoneer is paid by hand, from your own Payoneer account, one file at a time. We build the file in Payoneer's own bulk-upload shape. You upload it, approve the payments in Payoneer, and come back to mark them paid. It is not an automated rail, and this page says why.

Published 3 September 2026. Every claim on this page was read off the documentation linked below on 3 September 2026. Written by Jimi Barkway, who built AffiliateRail. Jimi has run affiliate programs from both sides of the link. Corrections go to support@affiliaterail.com.

01 Why a file

Why is Payoneer a file and not an automated rail?

Every payout here is non-custodial. Your money goes from your account to your partner, never through ours. We can only automate a rail that lets you hand us your own credentials for your own account. PayPal and Wise do that.

Payoneer does not. It issues payout API credentials only through an approved partnership, with funds routing through our balance rather than yours. That would make us a custodian of your partners' money. We have not applied for it and will not.

The split

  • Automatic: PayPal, Wise

You connect your own account. We call their API with your credentials.

  • By hand: Payoneer, bank transfer, wire, crypto

We build the file. You pay from your own account and mark it paid.

  • Both routes are non-custodial

Nobody's money passes through us, and your partners never verify their identity with us.

02 The file

What is in the file?

Recipient email, amount, currency and description, with the header row Payoneer requires. It holds only the payouts on this batch whose method is Payoneer, in one currency.

The email is the one on the partner's Payoneer account, which is often not the address they use for your portal. The portal asks for it separately. If a partner chose Payoneer and left it blank, the export refuses to build the file and names them, rather than writing a row Payoneer would reject.

The four columns, one currency per file. The header row is the one Payoneer's own template prints.

03 Closing

How does a Payoneer payout close?

A manual payout stays pending until you mark it paid. Nothing auto-completes, because nothing happened automatically. Marking it paid closes the commission and is what your partner sees.

Payoneer shows you the batch before anything moves, which is your last chance to check the total. Their row limit per file depends on your batch product, so we refuse a file above 1,000 rows, the largest figure they document. Trust the number printed on the template inside your own account.

Step by step

One batch, one file, one upload

The same shape bank transfer, wire and crypto have had here since the beginning.

  1. Generate a batch

On the Payouts page, as normal. Payoneer partners appear in it beside everyone else.

  2. Export the Payoneer file

On the batch, open Export CSV and choose the Payoneer batch file. One currency per file.

  3. Upload and approve in Payoneer

Their bulk payment screen: download their template, upload ours. Approve the batch after checking the total.

  4. Mark them paid

Back in AffiliateRail. Your partners see it, and the commissions close.

Said plainly

What the Payoneer batch file integration does, and does not do

Both lists are read off the same docs pages as everything else here.

It does

  • Writes the file in Payoneer's own shape

Recipient email, amount, currency, description, with the header row Payoneer requires.

  • Keeps one currency per file

Only the payouts on this batch whose method is Payoneer.

  • Refuses a file that would fail

A missing Payoneer email names the partner instead of writing a blank row. Over 1,000 rows, export more than one file.

  • Sits beside the automatic rails

PayPal and Wise partners in the same batch are paid automatically on Grow and above.

  • Takes 0%

Your Payoneer account's own fees apply.

It does not

  • Send the money itself

You upload, you approve, you mark it paid.

  • Hold the money

Payoneer's partnership route would route funds through our balance. That is why it is not built.

  • Auto-complete a manual payout

Pending until you mark it paid.

  • Guess a partner's Payoneer email

The portal asks for it separately and validates it there.

Questions

Common questions

Will Payoneer become an automated rail later?

Not on the route Payoneer offers today. Their payout API comes with an approved partnership that routes funds through the platform's balance. That would make us a custodian, so we will not take it.

Can partners in one batch be paid different ways?

Yes. PayPal and Wise partners are paid automatically from the same batch. The Payoneer file holds only the Payoneer ones.

What if a partner has not added their Payoneer email?

The export refuses to build the file and names the partner. Nudge them from the payout row. It is theirs to fix in the portal.

How big can the file be?

We refuse a file above 1,000 rows. Payoneer's own limit depends on your batch product, so trust the number on the template inside your account and split the batch if needed.
