Comparison

AffiliateRail vs Reditus

Reditus is a marketplace as much as a tool. Its Growth plan is $149 a month billed monthly, or $99 on a yearly deal. The bigger plans are yearly only. Automated payouts cost 5% by card or 2% by invoice. AffiliateRail is $29 a month and takes 0%. Say your affiliates bring in $40,000 a month and you pay out 25%. Reditus costs about $999. AffiliateRail costs $99. But Reditus has a network of B2B affiliates and an AI that finds more. AffiliateRail has neither. If that decides it, pay the higher bill.

The difference

What is the difference between AffiliateRail and Reditus?

Both track sales through Stripe. Both keep old affiliate links working after a move. One thing differs: how your affiliates get paid. Reditus gives you two ways. Pay them yourself, and Reditus never touches the money. Or switch on automated payouts, and Reditus invoices you, then pays them, for 5% by card or 2% by invoice. AffiliateRail does the automation without the middle step. It logs into your own PayPal or Wise and pays from there. Nothing passes through AffiliateRail, so there is no cut. Reditus is the marketplace. AffiliateRail is the smaller bill.

Plan price is not the whole bill. A payout fee is a slice the platform takes out of the money you send your partners. It is charged on top of your plan, and a good month changes it. The true-cost calculator does the arithmetic on your own numbers.

01 Custody

Who holds the money when affiliates get paid?

Here is the difference everything else comes from.

Reditus runs two routes. On the manual one, its help centre says "the actual payment happens between you and the affiliate directly" and "Reditus does not move the money". You pay each affiliate by PayPal and mark it paid. On the automated one, Reditus charges your card or sends an invoice, adds "a fee to cover banking costs", and pays your affiliates itself. That fee is 5% by card or 2% by invoice.

So with Reditus you choose: do the work, or pay a cut. AffiliateRail works out who is owed what, then logs into your own PayPal or Wise and pays them on a schedule. The money leaves your account and lands in theirs. It never comes near AffiliateRail. Automated, and 0%, at the same time.

Who holds the money in betweenMoney leaves your account and arrives with your affiliate. Between the two there is a gap with a question mark: who is holding it, and for how long.Your PayPal or WiseYour account, your credentialsYour affiliateReceives what you send?Who is holding it in between, and for how long?Almost no vendor says, anywhere on their site.

02 On AffiliateRail

Where does the money go on AffiliateRail?

AffiliateRail never holds it. You connect your own PayPal or Wise account. We work out who is owed what and tell your account to pay. The money goes from you to your affiliate and never passes through us.

So we take 0% of every payout, on every plan. There is no cut to take when the money never arrives. The custody page has every platform's own position, with sources.

03 The product

What does the product look like?

One dashboard for the program: affiliates, referrals, commissions and payouts. Your affiliates get a portal on your own domain, from the $29 plan. It comes in thirteen languages.

Tracking rides the Stripe or Paddle reference field. Not a cookie an ad blocker can drop. Payouts run from your own PayPal or Wise account on a schedule. The founder answers support.

Every screen, from its own menu. Recorded on a demo program.

In their words

What Reditus's own terms say

We charge your payment method or send an invoice for all payouts to be done. A fee is added to cover banking costs. We pay out the affiliates on your behalf.

Credit where due

Where Reditus is the better choice

No product wins on every axis. A comparison page that pretends otherwise is not worth reading. Reditus is a network with software attached, and for a B2B SaaS that is a real edge. There are good reasons to pick it over us.

  • The marketplace. B2B affiliates browse programs and apply from their own dashboard. On Scale Up your program is listed. AffiliateRail has nothing like it.

  • AI affiliate search and a vetted database. It finds people already promoting your competitors. We give you a manual chapter and you do the looking.

  • An in-app referral program beside the affiliate one. Your own customers can refer, from inside your product.

  • Tracking that stores no personal data, and fraud detection that auto-rejects. Both on the Growth plan.

  • A free white-glove migration on yearly plans that keeps competitors' links working. Reditus reads other platforms' parameters the way we do.

Switching

How do you move a program from Reditus?

There is no Reditus importer yet. So the move runs on CSV. Reditus's terms say you can export your data from the platform, and on request as CSV or JSON, for 60 days after you cancel. The importer does a practice run first. Old links need re-issuing, because Reditus does not publish its link parameter and our script cannot read it. The money changes too, if you used automated payouts. You stop paying 5% or 2%. You start paying from your own PayPal or Wise.

Questions

Common questions

Is AffiliateRail cheaper than Reditus?

Yes. $29 founding against $149 billed monthly. Above $5,000 a month of affiliate revenue Reditus moves to Scale Up at $399, yearly only. Add 2% or 5% of payouts if Reditus pays your affiliates. At $40,000 a month on a 25% rate, that is about $999 against $99. Run your own numbers on the calculator.

Does Reditus hold my money?

Only if you ask it to. Pay your affiliates by hand and its help centre says it does not move the money. Switch on automated payouts and Reditus invoices you, then pays them, for 5% by card or 2% by invoice. AffiliateRail automates the payout and never holds it.

What does Reditus do that AffiliateRail does not?

A marketplace where B2B affiliates find you. An AI that searches for affiliates. An in-app referral program for your own customers. If any of those decide it for you, Reditus is the better buy.

Will my affiliates' links break if I move?

Reditus does not publish the name of its link parameter, so our script cannot promise to read it. Every affiliate gets a new link from the portal. Their history, customers and balance come across. The switch guide covers the month of overlap.
